Overview

What's involved

Protected, scheduled and notable trees, and trees inside development footprints, come with rules. We prepare the arboricultural documentation councils and consent planners need, and advise on what can realistically be approved before you commit to a design.

Our qualified arborists assess tree health, structure and value, and set out practical protection or removal recommendations in language that consent teams and contractors can both work from.

Benefits

  • Arboricultural assessments and tree condition reports
  • Tree protection plans and protection zone specifications
  • Resource consent support for removal and works near protected trees
  • Pre-purchase and pre-development tree advice
  • Post-storm and risk assessment reporting for asset owners
  • Practical recommendations that consider construction reality

Process

How we approach the work

  1. 01

    Scope and consent check

We confirm the tree's protection status, the works proposed and what the council will require.

  2. 02

    Site inspection

A qualified arborist inspects and records tree health, structure, dimensions and root zone conditions.

  3. 03

    Reporting

You receive a clear written report with findings, recommendations and any protection specifications.

  4. 04

    Consent and implementation

We support the consent process and can carry out the approved works with our own crews.

Safety first

Assessments include a documented risk evaluation, so hazardous trees are flagged for action rather than left in a report.

Clean-up promise

Where inspection requires minor access pruning or root exposure, the area is reinstated and left tidy.

Commercial capability

Developers, councils and consultants can commission reporting alongside works through our commercial arborist services.
