What's involved
Removing a large tree safely is an engineering exercise, not a chainsaw exercise. Our NZQA qualified arborists assess condition, lean, decay, target zones and services before a single cut is made, then choose the method that keeps people, buildings and infrastructure out of harm's way.
We remove trees in tight residential sections, live carparks, school grounds, road corridors and development sites across South Auckland, Franklin, North Waikato and the wider Auckland region — using sectional dismantling and controlled lowering where a straight fell is not appropriate.

Process
How we approach the work
- 01
Assessment and method selection
A qualified arborist inspects the tree, identifies defects and target zones, and confirms whether it can be felled whole or must be dismantled in sections.
- 02
Site set-up and exclusion zones
Drop zones, cones, signage and where necessary traffic management are established, and neighbours or site occupants are briefed.
- 03
Controlled removal
Limbs are rigged and lowered under control, the stem is taken down in manageable sections, and material is processed into the chipper as we go.
- 04
Stump treatment and clean-up
Stumps are cut low, ground below grade if requested, and the site is raked, blown down and left tidy.
Safety first
Every removal is covered by a documented risk assessment and, on commercial sites, a site-specific safety plan. We work to Tōtika standards with $10 million public liability insurance behind us.
Clean-up promise
All arisings are chipped and removed, hard surfaces are blown clean, and we walk the site with you before we leave. A tidy finish is included in the quoted price.
