Overview
What's involved
A ground stump means no trip hazard, no regrowth, no mower damage and no obstacle to your next build, driveway or garden. We own our grinders, so stump work can be booked in the same visit as a removal or scheduled on its own.
We grind stumps of all sizes on residential sections, commercial grounds and development sites, including tight-access backyards and multi-stump clearance jobs.
Benefits
- Stumps ground below grade, not just cut flush
- Own machines — flexible scheduling and no hire markups
- Services located and protected before grinding
- Surface roots ground out where access allows
- Grindings removed or backfilled and levelled to your preference
- Bulk stump programmes for developers and councils

Process
How we approach the work
- 01
Site and services check
We confirm underground services, irrigation and cabling near the stump before any grinding begins.
- 02
Access and protection
Access is prepared, and boards, screens or matting are used to protect surfaces, glazing and planting nearby.
- 03
Grinding below grade
The stump and major surface roots are ground out to the depth required for your intended use of the area.
- 04
Backfill or removal
Grindings are removed, or levelled and compacted back into the void ready for topsoil and turf.
Safety first
Exclusion zones, debris screening and full PPE. Operators are competency-assessed on our own plant.
Clean-up promise
The area is raked, levelled and blown down, with grindings removed from site if you'd prefer a clean void.
Commercial capability
Developers and councils clearing multiple stumps can package the work through our commercial arborist services.
